Committed to Making A Difference

The Unladylike Lounge is committed to making a difference in our community and the lives of our members. Here, you will find a few examples of just how we are working to making a positive change for those who have helped us become who we are today.

Feeding Families

Fan favorite, Natalie Rooney is working tirelessly in the La Crosse, WI community to raise the number of chickens per home from 5 to 8 in order to help feed her family without relying on the unknown found in local grocery stores. Her family of four is barely getting by on 4 eggs per day from her 5 chickens and many families living under this same ordinance are feeling similar effects. Please sign her petition to help her and other families like hers to raise the number of allowed chickens per home, to help sustain healthy living practices!

Rest In Peace Peaches

Peaches was so much more than an eclectic woman, she was a free spirit, a kind and gentle soul and the epitome of an unlady! She was a living local legend in the coulee region and will be greatly missed in our community. Brenda “Peaches” Jackson passed away July 2nd, 2023, and our locals are absolutely feeling this devastating loss. Her family is doing their best to send her off in a way that she truly deserved. Below is a GoFundMe, organized by her loved ones to help raise money for unexpected burial costs.

The Unladylike Lounge is also dedicating efforts to commemorate Peaches in a way that she was so deserving of. We are raising funds through a Tshirt sale, with 100% of profits going to fund voice and instrumental lessons for children who otherwise would not be able to afford them. Peaches was notorious for her singing, dancing and guitar playing, and could often be found entertaining the people of La Crosse in her flyest gear. This will be known as the Brenda “Peaches” Jackson Memorial Fund, with hopes that one day, it will grow large enough to turn into a music scholarship fund for students wanting to study music. Tshirts will be $25 a piece, but anybody wishing to make a donation without purchasing a shirt are more than welcome to do so as well. Our community and her family graciously thank you and appreciate your kindness more than we can put into words. Peaches deserves to be remembered for the love, light and beauty she poured into our town.
